This is amazing, my John Cavender was in Little Britain, Lancaster County, Pa in 1830
census, he married in Lancaster about 1826, there was also a James Cavender in the same
census, they were about the same age 20-30
and they were both in the 1831 tax list for Little Britain
neither were in the 1832 or later,I have a feeling they were brothers, there were no
other Cavender's in Lancaster or in the 1820 census, so they must have come into
Lancaster after 1820.John was in the 1840 census for Londonderry Dauphin County, Pa, he
died before 1850 census, but he also named his first son James. I think I found the James
who had been in the 1830 census in Little Britain, He was in Ohio and married Nancy who
had been born in Virginia. John's children all had on later census records that
their father was born in Pa and the James I am referring to also has his birthplace as Pa,
but the Virginia,West Virginia and Maryland lines aren't to far from Lancaster. I
have not been able to make a connection to their parents.
I hope to hear from you soon
Shirley
