CHARLES CAVE
Cold Brook, Herkimer co., NY
Charles Cave, 89, died this morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. William
Patterson, 317 East German street. Mr. Cave, who spent practically all of his
life in Cold Brook, came to this village a short time ago. His death occurred
after an illness of about two weeks' duration.
He was born in England, and came to this country at an early age. He was
married to Mary Emery 65 years ago last Christmas. Mr. Cave would have been
90 years old on August 16.
He is survived by his wife and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Clark, Utica, who is 94
years old, and Mrs. Helen Cook, Poland, also by two daughters, Mrs. William
Patterson, this village, and Mrs. Anna George, Herkimer, and a grandson,
Merrill C. George, this village.
Services will be held at 9 from the home of Mrs. Patterson and at 2
from his former home in Cold Brook.
[This is from an old scrapbook, the date penciled on it is Mar 27 - 33
(Mar 27, 1933). My guess is that it is from the Evening Telegram newspaper,
published in Herkimer, NY.]
