Pearl Miller CAVE, 104 years old
Newark area resident Pearl Miller Cave died on Sat. Oct. 19, 2002.
Cave, 104, was a homemaker who would have celebrated her 105th
birthday on Thursday, Oct. 24, 2002. She was a graduate of Roanoke
Teachers College and taught school briefly in West Virginia. She was
a member of the Church of Christ in Newark and enjoyed gardening
and sewing.
She is survived by her son, Donald E. Cave Sr. and his wife Thelda of
Newark; brother, David Miller of Pike Creek; sister, Nellie Cave of
Prices Corner; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and eight
great-great-grandchildren.
Services were held at the Chapel of Gracelawn Memorial Park in New
Castle. Interment was in the adjoining memorial park.

Henry B. CAVE
Columbia - Henry Benjamin "Benny" Cave, 53, former husband of
Julie Cave, died Wednesday, September 25, 2002.
Born January 28, 1949, in Summerton, he was the son of the late Ben Cave
of Sumter and Barbara Pearson Cave of Columbia. He was a graduate of
Mayewood High School and a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War.
Survivors include a son, Robert B. Cave of Sumter; two daughters,
Deela R. Cave and Lisa L. Wilkerson of Sumter; two brothers, Tommy and
Ronald Cave of Columbia; and a sister, Jean Mincey of Columbia.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Joe Cave and a grandmother,
Daisy Cave.
A private burial was held in the Florence National Cemetery.
