Dear Rita, isn't it exciting to find your roots. Life gets in the way of my research
sometimes and its been a while since I've been on this site. I have been
concentratiing on finding my Aussie relatives in Sydney New south Wales and found my
direct cousins, who have Emma Cave-Brown(e)-Cave as their GG Mother, just like me.
In 2004 I went to Stanford Hall in Lutterworth Leicester, one of our family homes, where
My GG mother Emma used to visit her cousins. I was absolutely blown away by the
experience. We had a reunion of about 60 Caves, and extended family. My cousin Theresa
Goss came from Vancouver, and also my cousin Sarah Chanin from Devon in England. The only
light I can shed on the family connection is that one of the Cave brothers went to London
in about the 1700s and married the daughter of the Mayor of London, whose surname was
Brown(e), and they also married into the Verney family, of the Braye baroncy. Debretts
and Burkes say how later the descendents added the names together, making
Cave-Brown(e)-Cave. The brothers took these names. I have reached a stalemate regarding
my gg mothers family in Dorset. I have to get hold of the birth & marriage CTS. Hope
to hear from you. Julie
