I am pasting a copy of the page from Rootsweb and how they want us to take care of spam
I have taken this person address off the list but they will just use another one to try
again.
I normally get 10 to 12 of these blocked notices a week from spam mail the filters are not
sure
about. I take care of them and send rootseweb filters a copy to block.
We have been really lucky not to have many make it through the systems.
If you see something that looks like this DONT OPEN IT!
You can send me a notice or flag it for rootsweb. I try to check the mail every day but
once its been sent
I have no way of stopping it. Then we can only follow the guidelines and hope to stop it
in the filters.
Thanks so much for being prompt to notice and send a message about it.
With Fall and Winter season in the northern half of the globe, we should see
more activity.
Hope everyone has had a good summer here. Now the southern half of the globe has summer
coming and
do hope everyone enjoys the pleasant summer.

What to Do if Spam Reaches Your List
Spam will occasionally reach your list. If that happens, send one copy of the message to
abuse(a)rootsweb.com with the full or expanded headers. Do not send copies of spam that was
filtered and sent to you as a confirmation from abuse(a)rootsweb.com
Some subscribers may question how the spam got through to the list. Assure them:
* RootsWeb constantly adjusts our filters; we block the vast majority of spam from
reaching them.
* Tell them you have forwarded a copy of the spam to abuse(a)rootsweb.com so we are aware
it got through the filters. Subscribers should not send copies to the abuse address; the
single copy from you will be sufficient.
