Michael, do you have any way to contact the Valentine desc in England to see
if he thinks this could be his ancestor Valentine. Alternatively, he could
provide us with specifics on his Valentine.

A Virginia Cave who is very likely a member of the Tidewater Virginia Caves
from which a large number of the members on this list descend, matches
exactly
37 of 37 markers to an English Cave who descends from the Valentine Cave
who
died 1652.
Now Jane you seem to have found an even earlier Valentine Cave that died
1606.
All of this is particularly interesting as Benjamin Cave the Burgess named
a
grandson Valentine.
