Hello mailing lists!
I am sending to multiple lists because I have been seeing alot of questions
come up with people not knowing how to find things on the web.
I know that roots web has had lessons on how to use the computer to search.
Can, someone put out the information on how to get the free lessons?
I know that you can get into different states archives on the roots web and
the gen web. Can someone tell the lists how to do that for each state or
county in the state?
How do we find the url's for census listings in the states that we need? How
to find them on web?
There are basic ways to find more than a sirname search-can people start just
sending the ways that they have "used the web" to find information?
Along with our queries-can we just log in some helpful ways to find things
for other people to use?
I have been surfing in texas for about three weeks and have found this very
helpful.
TEXAS HANDBOOK TO ON LINE INFORMATION

I have a printed book of the 1790 census of North CArolina. This is the first
census of the USA. Just the one state do I have. However, I would be happy
to do look ups for sirnames-it is a head of household only listing-on the
name on this mailing list- if it is not in hundreds---grin....
I wish everyone good luck and helpful hunting.
