"Sacramento Daily Record-Union," Saturday October 6, 1894.
Death of Mrs. Cave
Mrs. P.A. CAVE, wife of Jesse H. CAVE of Clarksburg, Yolo County
(California) died on Wednesday in this city. She leaves, besides her
husband, two daughters and one son. She was a native of Burlington,
Vt., aged 58 years. The funeral will take place Sunday at 2 P.M. from
Calvary Baptist Church.

Phelps, Jan. 29 - Mrs. Harriet J. Shaw, sixty-eight years old, widow of
Nathan Shaw, died shortly after midnight last night at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. Joel CAVES in South Wayne street after an illness of several months.
Mrs. Shaw, who was a daughter of John and Barbara Mmarvin Kester, was
born near Memphis, N.Y., on January 11, 1854, and had lived in Phelps for
the last thirty-four years. Surviving relatives are a daughter, Mrs. CAVES;
a son, Fred Shaw, of Phelps; two sisters, Mrs. Rosina Thomas and Mrs.
Henrietta Swin, both of Memphis; five grandchildren and one great grandson.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the CAVES
home. Rev. R. H. Crane, pastor of the Phelps Baptist Church officiating.
Interment will be in Rest Haven cemetery, Phelps.
