HI everyone! This CAVE hunter is not on our list yet. He gave me the okay to
post his message, and I am sure many of you are going to remember seeing his
postings at Genforum. If anyone can be of help to him please let him know,
and copy reply to this list so we will know too. I have been following his
messages and trying to help him, but cannot find the connection... maybe it
is in Illinois or Nebraska where his grandpa died. It helps to go read all
of his messages to GenForum to get the whole picture of his search effort.

Subject: Cave Families
Hello
My name is Thomas W. Rogers, a descendant of a Cave line. My mother's
maiden name was "Caves", but her grandfather changed the spelling of his
last
name from "Cave" to "Caves". My grandfather was
Martie Caves, my great
grandfather was Merritt Caves who married a Jennie and resided in Butler
County Missouri. They had at least Charles A. Cave(s) and Martie Cave(s).
Merritt was 25 in the 1880 Missouri Census.
I believe Merritt Cave(s) ancestor is Merit H. Cave of Kentucky who may
have married a Catherine Rush, daughter of Garland Rush.
None of this may connect immediately to your line. However, in my
searching it leads me to believe somewhere in your line this may connect.
I would very much enjoy viewing your information on this line, but
regretfully I don't have a printer. I am disabled and doing the best I
can. I
am wondering if it might be possible for you to forward me a printed
copy
of
this material so I can review it. I'd try to cover the costs
involved for
you.
