...Wheareas Christofer CAVE of Ottley in the Countie of Yorke haithe
byn sore sicke almoste for the space of thre yeares last past by reason
wheareof he is verie weike of bodie wherefore he haithe requested of me,
Willm Hardeste, clarke, Vickar of the pisshe churche of Ottley, aforesaid,
lycense and libertie to vse and eat flesshe for his dyat accordinge to the
Statute for the sicke and infirme psons in that case pvided and appointed.
Wheareupon the said Willm Hardeste, havinge sene the estait of the said
Christofer CAVE, have lycensid hime by theis psentes to eat flesshe and
vse it for his dyat duringe the tyme of this his sickenes. In testimonie
wheareof the said Willm Hardestie vnto the said license haithe subscribed
his nayme and put to his seale, the firste daie of M'che, Anno D'ni 1594,
Ao. r'ni serenissime d'ne n're Elizabethe Angelis R'ne Tricesimo septimo.
The Wch said lycense the said Christofer CAVE required to be Regestred
