Bingo! Thanks a bunch. My line. Benj Cave Sr and Hannah Bledsoe
of Orange County, Va had Richard Cave who married Elizabeth Craig,
sister to the Preaching Craigs (John, Elijah, Lewis, Joseph, Toliver).
They moved to Ky and had Polly who married Richard Rice. The Rice's
daughter Susan Rice married her second cousin Uriel Cave, son of Wm Jr
and g-son of Wm Sr and g-g-son of Benj Sr. The Graves were mixed in
several ways. All were members of the Traveling Church (Va to Ky
1781-82) and settled in Central Ky. Baptists. Then some became
Christians and followed Alexander Campbell and Barton Stone. "The
Baptists settled Ky and the Campbellites unsettled it!" The
activities of this group and the Traveling Church are well documented.
It is a fascinating story. Uriel and Susan moved to Clay Co, Mo
where they eventually donated 1/2 section for the cemetary at Kearney
where they and others of the family lie not far from Jessie James and
his relatives. My six great uncles went to school with Frank and
Jessie James. My grandmother was too young to go to school, but she
remembered Mrs. James with her one arm. Thanks for the added
information! EGT
