Jim, thanks for sending the url for Jim Farmer's web page.
THANKS-THANKS
-THANKS
I was a day or two before I could sit down and look at it--just this
hour-got a shock of my YEAR!
There in black and white is the Lucy Cave married to Ashley Haywood
DODD....I am still blotting tears! I was just in awe at the amount of
work
done on these ancestors!
I have done genealogy for 35 years and I can not tell you how many times I
have given people things that helped them---but to find this for myself
and
my kin--is just to wonderful for words. I sincerely thank you BOTH.
Just to know that the names are correct and that they were real! Is a
miracle
for us. A name is all we had.
And, you know the next thing we are already talking about-I am typing this
while on the telephone with Two cousins! Is can you tell us where you
found
the names?
The documentation that proves them real? We have looked in Texas so
long--.
Do you have a list of children for lucy cave and ashley haywood
dodd?They
are
our great great grandparents and their son-our gr grand pa was lewis
taylor
dodd, buried in sand grove, milam co. 1908-
-we have a photograph of lewis dodd, and lucy cave dodd, if any of you
wish
it.
Now, we at least know she really was a CAVE. We know not where she is
buried-but think probably unmarked in milam area.
What can we do to help you and repay you some how for this great gift?
sincerely, judy hugg grimes, noni kunkel harrison and Jake DODD.
