“Mrs. J. M. Cave Passed Away September 1”
Funeral services for Mrs. J. M. Cave [nee: Mary Frances Lagrone], 77 years old native
Milam county woman, were held at the Milano Methodist Church Sunday afternoon at 3 o’clock
with Rev. Maurice Grove, pastor First Christian Church of Cameron delivering the sermon.
Mrs. Cave died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. S. J. Callagher of Abilene Saturday
morning, September 1. Her death was due to heart failure.
Mrs. Cave was born and reared at Milano and was a resident of that community for many
years. Since the death of her husband [James Marion “Bud” Cave] seven years ago, Mrs. Cave
had made her home with her children.
She is survived by two sons, D. C. [Daniel Clark] Cave of Dallas and Thomas M. Cave of
Little Rock, Ark.; three daughters, Mrs. S. J. Gallagher of Abilene, Mrs. Dan Lankford of
Dallas and Mrs. Nannie Bodiford [nee: Nancy Jane Cave] of Dallas; two sisters, Mrs. V. P.
Woolley of Cameron and Mrs. W. H. Drehr of Milano, eight grand children and four
great-grand children.
