Melodee,
following is information i have gathered from my own research and from that
of many others; my own info has not been documented but might help as a
guide line:
(much of this information has been gathered by Linda Boyd Lawhon and shared
with me by Linda and my sister, Shirley Homer)
The only information i have for Thomas Joshua Cave is as follows:
Born: 25 Dec 1826 in Roane cnty, TN
Died: 16 Ap 1894 in Stroud, Lincoln cnty, OK from pneumonia
Buried: in Old Mud College Cemetery; Stroud, Lincoln cnty, OK
Married: 2 Jan 1851 to;
(this has been shown as Thomas' 2nd marriage)
Elizabeth (or Nancy) Kirk
Born: abt 1826
i have that Thomas Joshua Cave's parents were:
John Cave, Jr (B; abt 1797, VA; D: aft 1860, Christian cnty, MO)
Married on 1 Jun 1819 in Surry cnty, NC to;
Jane Tolbert or Talbot (B: abt early 1800's in NC; D: aft 1870 in Christian
cnty, MO)
Janes father was Joshua Tolbert or Talbot (this last name has been spelled
many ways)
John Cave, Jr's parents:
John Cave, Sr (B: abt 1764 in VA; D: aft 1840 in Surry cnty, NC)
Married abt 1785, probably in VA to;
possibly Frances Snow
(credit for the following info goes to Jim Cave and the research he has
done.)
John Cave, Sr's parents:
Wm. Cave (B: abt 1738 in Orange cnty, VA; D: 1828 in Green cnty, KY)
Married: abt 1761 in VA to;
Jeriah Davis (B: abt 1740 in VA; D: aft 1830 in Green cnty, KY)
Wm. Cave's parents:
Robert Cave (B: abt 1700; D: abt 1755 in Culpeper cnty, VA
