Plaque to John CAVE
Shoe factory established in 1850 and destroyed by fire in 1877. Mr. Elias CAVE
killed by a falling wall whilst inspecting the damage.
In 1901 factory again destroyed.
In 1940 two bombs fell on premises resulting in death/injury to employees.
