While getting myself back on the list, I did a count
to see how we are doing on this list.
We have 65 members on CAVE-L list
and 11 members on CAVE-D list. This is not
counting the ones I showed bounced today.
We are getting close to the Fall season when the days
get shorter and some of us have more time to spend
on the computer. It would be a great time to send
in your lines again to let the new folks know who you
are and what CAVE lines you are searching. The
list is always changing!
Share any finds you have made with the list.
I have been helping care for my Mother this summer
and have not done much new research. It has been a
time to share stories with Mother and she has been
telling us things we didnt hear or didnt recall from
our own family. Dont forget to spend time with your
family and listen to the stories they share with you.
Keep a notepad handy to record these stories or
you will forget them. I was listening to stories of how
we spent the Blackouts during W.W.II. I was a baby
(Sept 1943) so the stories of what we did are most interesting.
My sisters shared how frightened they
were at the time. This is all part of the collective
history of our family, that is easy to miss if we dont
learn to listen.
