You are doing a good job on the Caves. Any chance Thomas and Eber
were related? I've been unable to identify Eber's parents or
siblings. I have no info that they were VA pre-Revolutionary. Do you
know who Eber's daughters were? Sam Houston was sweet on a Stern
daughter and hoped to marry her, but it was unrequited love. His
letters to her are published. Caves and Bledsoes of Orange Co VA were
intermarried and Sam Houston's sister-in-law was married to a Bledsoe.
They lived near Liberty TX. Other VA Cave/Bledsoe relatives were in
Texas and associated with Houston during the early days of TX. I have
more details in my files --- I am typing from memory at the moment.
Regards. EGT
