Message Board Post:
Hello, I have been pretty quiet for a while with the message board and mailing list but
would like to give a quick update. I am back in Ohio with a better computer connection and
actively researching again. (I never stopped but with a dial up only connection in the
backwoods area in KS, and caring for my family, it was harder to work on research)
The many changes made at Ancestry, who oversees Rootsweb now, I think all of you are
aware that the messages posted on Rootsweb are seen on Ancestry too. With the change to a
"read only" of Genfourm and
famiytreemaker.com personal website pages, at the
end of September, we are looking for more traffic here. I would like to see more postings
of the CAVE families. If you have not posted in some time, now would be a good time to do
that. With the holiday season, and some more programs on television focused on Family
History and Genealogy, more folks may begin looking for answers to their family roots.
Best Wishes to all of you. Your message board and mailing list manager for the surname
CAVE. Sue Ellen Cave Ash
See My Query below:
My CAVE line comes from Page and Madison counties Virginia, with one Joseph Cave. His son
John Cave is my ancestor, and there are some giving Catherine, first name proven in his
will, the name Mary Catherine Gemberling Birth 20 May 1758 in Pennsylvania, United
States
Death 01 APR 1835 in Hocking, Ohio, United States, daughter of Johann Charles Gemberling
1730 - 1777, and Maria Magdalena Steinmetz, 1730 - 1813 Where has this information been
found and verified. The ones I have asked tell me they copied it from another tree in
Ancestry.
Would really like to find the source please. Thank you so much.
Sue Ellen
