Amy,
I've learned a lot more about my ancestors since leaving that message in
2000. My great grandparents were from England and came to the US in the
late 1860's. They resided in NY, then Missouri, then came to Texas. They
settled first in Parker County, where my grandfather was born, then moved on
to Kaufman County. They are buried in Kaufman County.
My great grandfather was born in about 1827 in Bodicote, Oxfordshire,
England. I've visited his parents' graves there. Their ancestors lived in
Gloustershire. We traced the oldest known to Owlpen in the 1600's.
Still, I always wonder if they went to Missouri for a purpose, as many Caves
ended up there.
What more can you provide and we'll see if there is a link. I actually
connected with a distant cousin whose great-grandfather was my
great-grandfather's brother.

I know it has been sometime since you have posted this, but where in Texas
did your Cave ancestors live in after leaving MO?
