My earliest known ancestor: Robert Cave who is of record over a period of about 30 years
(1727-1755) in the Virginia counties of Spotsylvania, Orange and Culpeper. Robert's
son William Cave who moved to Kentucky shortly after Kentucky became a state, was next in
my line.
In the records of the 1730's Robert was closely associated with Benjamin Cave and
David Cave. They may have been siblings. If so, they were likely sons of John Cave d.
1720c of Stafford County since David is mentioned in the inheritance line of some of John
Cave's property. Big "if" though at this point in time.
