Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
This is the perfect example of what I am talking about
below. I sent this message and found I had been
bounced OFF the list too! But the notice was sent
to me about it. LOL!

>I thought this may be of interest to some of the Cave
Clan.I,too, research my family history and love to find any info
any way possible...I'm from Augusta,Georgia and noticed there were
posts regarding Cave's in this area and Barwell,S.C.
>
>While reading this morning's newspaper online,I came across an
article which stated two graves were found 300 yards from the
Barnwell County Airport(very small airstrip)in Barwell,South
Carolina..both in need of repair and upkeep....The markers read:
William Cave-Born Feburary 1821 Died April 19,1887---He was a
Confederate Soldier. The second marker is his Wife Julia Ann
Ashely...The article does not give dates concerning Julia's birth
day or death. However if anyone would like more information the
article can be found in the September 8th Issue of the Augusta
Chronicle newspaper under the metro section..it also shows a
picture of gravesite and man that found it,he's concerned about
the upkeep of all old gravesites in the area...his name is listed
and shouldn't be too hard to locate by e-mail or snail mail if
interested in more info....You can find the article online at
www.augustachronicle.com...If the date is past Sept 8th,just click
on "archives"....then the correct date.I !

This was of great interest to me. I suspect that these are the graves of my gg grandmother, Sarah Cave's 1st cousin, William Lewis Cave who died in February of 1821. He was the son of Tarlton and Nancy Ann (Parker) Cave and Sarah was the daughter of Nathan B. and Elizabeth (Anderson) Cave. Tarlton and Nathan were the sons of John and Sarah Wilson (Brown) Cave. My gg grandmother Sarah married Charles R. Beck and lived in Barnwell County, S.C. I have been searching for some time for the graves of my Cave ancestors without any luck and would appreciate any help in this matter.

Mike,
William L. Cave Jr is indeed my dad. He lives in Connecticut. We are doing this research jointly.
Margie Cave is my dad's sister. She lives in Martinez, GA.
Hazel and Lillie have both passed. Hazel was the second (or third?) wife of William Sr. (my paternal grandfather) . I visited with her and her mother, Lillie on several trips to Augusta, GA.
