Hello
Anyone recognize any of these Cave(s) of Missouri?
To: travelback4u(a)aol.com
There are listings for:
Bell, Charlie, Edey, Ella, Ethal, Gabriel, Grace, infant, Joseph, Rhoda
and Willie Caves in Hamtown Cem Please let me
know which of these names you would like.
Note: The above individuals, buried in Hamtown Cemetery, Butler County,
Missouri must be relatives of Merritt Caves. Charlie Cave might be the
Charles Cave born 1878 in Illinois to Merrit and his wife Jenny. Much more
work is required to research this line.

Hello:

Hello
This comes from Caves Cove. I am interested in female Cave, name unknown,
who resided in Iowa during 1954, when her brother Martie W. Caves died. At
that time, Martie W. Caves was residing in Burlington Iowa, and working at
the Munitions Plant there. My mom, Cleta Irene (Caves) and Cleta's sister
Edna (Caves) Van Velsor, had stopped at there father's sister's home in Iowa
to inform her that her brother had passed away on a train trip back from out
west.
I have lots of information to exchange on Martie W. Caves descendants and
some on the ancestry. Martie W. Caves was born March 1888, Missouri, (But
stated to many he was born April 18, 1890). In the 1900 Census he is residing
in Camp Point Illinois with his grandparents. (A typo existed in Census,
showing him as Martie W. Carr, but this is Martie W. Caves, son of Merit
Caves and Jenny Swisher). Martie W. Caves was raised by his grandparents
Absolum S. Swisher and Melissa A....and was living with them in 1900.

Hello
Does anyone have anything at all, on this individual?
Notes: Found one Bert Caves on the Social Security Records, but not sure of
whether or not related: 553-01-6844 Born 5/2/1903 Cal. and died 8/23/1997
in Winnemucc, Nevada. (Is this the Bert I am looking for?)
Edna (Caves) Van Velsor, Cleta Irene (Caves) Rogers sister,
stated that Bert Caves, (Their dad Martie W. Caves' brother) died out west,
and that he had two daughters that had gotten bit parts in motion pictures.
Bert Caves had gotten divorced, had resided in Havanna Illinois for many
years. It was said he was a gambler, and known as a "River Boat Gambler).
