Hi Folks -
Pardon my few errors in the last post. I meant to share that my Grandmother Anna and Aunt
Emma's mother, Catherine, as a young child remembered swinging on the garden gate
watching the soldiers going home along the road after the civil war ended.
Additionally, I failed to share that my grandmother (Anna) told me that our branch of the
Cavanaughs came from County Mayo originally. But, in researching on
Ancestry.com, it
noted that the Cavanaughs (Thomas and Margaret) came from Queensborough or Queenstown,
Ireland in County Meath during the Potato Famine.
Anna's parents' names were John and Catherine Cavanaugh. John's parents were
Thomas Cavanaugh (1824) and Margaret Fitzgerald (1825)
