Hello Maureen,
Our Hollow line is from Cornwall England and came to Australia from there
1863. The name has evolved from HOLLA to Hollow.
Why not contact Colin Hollow [chollow(a)ozemail.com.au]who has done a one name
study.
Bye
Ellen

Just for fun, I noticed your surname. I have a Hollow in the family; my
great Uncle
John (born somewhere in the 1880's I think) who came from Hungary (name
originally
might have been Hollo) in 1907 or so to Ellis Island and thereafter NYC;
married my
great aunt Sadie (Sarah) Fisher and had one child Robert who died young.
Also had
brother Stephen.
Info is sketchy because my computer crashed and I hadn't backed it up
properly. I
have more specific info; it's just not in great order.
