Peter: I too have run into a stumbling block in trying to sort out
anything from the 99th regiment of foot who fought in the war of 1812. I
have it written through family history that the regiment embarked from
Warrenport, Ireland for Isle of Wight on 19th March, 1805. Embarked to
for Canada 10th August, 1805. The regiment was in Quebec in June 1806.
Do not know if they sailed to USA, than came to Canada. Also, I have just
realized that I am looking up for Ontario and Quebec, perhaps I should try
Upper and Lower Canada?
