Hi Sandy,
I have been away from these boards for quite some time.
I can try to help with your search.
Some info I have found about the 99th:
The 99th Foot was raised in 1804 and from 1806 saw service in Nova Scotia. However, in
1816 it was renumbered the 98th Foot which in turn was disbanded in England in 1818.
However, during the same period the 100th Foot were renumbered the 99th Foot in 1815.
When these soldiers were disbanded, many of them settled in the Ottawa area (they were
given free land).
If you can get me some specifics, I can try to get you better info.
