My Cavanagh/Cavanaugh's emigrated to Woolton England in Lancashire from Ballinasloe,
Galway in the 1860's. Probably 1862. Emigrated to Philadelphia approx. 1892 from
Woolton. Patrick and his brother Thomas fought in the Civil War here and also worked in
the U.S. building churches out west.

I know of a john cavanagh who was in the care of the Poor Clares in Leeds in 1881 check
the census. He was a very old man but the sisters had his parents names Richard and
Bridget and he was from Headford Co Galway, I know one of his descendants who now lives in
Brighton could get you in touch if he is the same John. He did have a son James.
