The original Milton Cauthen from SC died in Madison Co., MS in 1868.
I read in a post by this lady that her grandfather was Mit Cauthen.
In the Cauthen book, there is a "Mit" ...Milton Cauthen born c 1854, son of
Wm. Andrew, grandson of Milton who came to MS from SC about 1836.
"Mit" married Flora E. Stewart, Madison Co., MS 10/27/1875. He later
married Elvira Turner. He had 12 children.
One of these children was named Jack and he married Mable Hester. From this
lady's post her father was also a "Jack".
A msg on Ancestry by a Racheal Cauthen Everette says :
"Help from anyone, please
My brother was Herbert Eugene Cauthen, born: Jan 2 1930,I think. He was in
the Air Force.
Last seem by myself in Nov, 1961, at our fathers'(Jack Calvin Cauthen)
funeral, in Rolling Fork, Miss. Even if he has departed this earth, I would
love to know about his family- - MY family, too Racheal Cauthen Everett"
I am trying to contact her, but have no email address as yet to give to you.
...don't know where she lives.
