Re: James and John Causey in SC at same time as William Causey, 1744-1828.
They were in SC at the same time, but there is nothing I have seen that
suggests they are related.
Re: William Causey's two familiies. Family Legend tells us that he had
eleven by his first marriage; only seven have been confirmed to be his
children; six of these came to Mississippi with William, one daughter apparently
died in SC but left a son, John Daniels, whom William apparently raised
in Mississippi and mentioned in his will. The other four chlidren from
his first marriage are unknown and we have no current information to suggest
that either James or John were sons of William. We do know that he had
at least eight children by his second marriage, which marriage occured
in Mississippi.
One SC Causey, Absalom, is a highly probable son of William and had several
transactions with William's support. Absalom married and fathered at least
three daughters and possibly one son according to census reports.
Other possible connections, e.g., Mary and Frances, are discussed in the
Causey Family History referenced below.
