Thanks for the information! I just recently found out about this lineage
and his participation in the Revolutionary War caught my attention as I have
two other known veterans of that war. I descended through his daughter,
Mary, whom was born in Georgia. What is your relationship?

According to Joe Baggett in "Douglas County, Georgia; Who
Was Who,"
Ezekiel Causey was a Revolutionary veteran of Buncombe Co., N.C. who moved
to Jefferson Co., GA.
1790 U.S. Federal Census, North Carolina, Edgecombe Co., Unknown Twp., p.
56, line 7.
NARA Microcopy M637, Roll 7 (viewed at
Ancestry.com Images Online.)
This shows 1 free white male 16 & up, 2 free white males under 16, 2 free
white females, and zero in the columns for ³other² and ³slaves.²
Hageness, MariLee Beatty. ³Early Inhabitants of Jefferson County,

Published by MLH Research, 1997. This source states that Ezekiel Causey
was
a Revolutionary soldier and that he drew land in Carroll County in the
1827
Georgia Land Lottery.
The 1800 U.S.Federal Census for SC, Beaufort Co., Unknown twp., pg 124,

abstracted from the census, and lists him in St. Peter¹s Parish.
Have not yet found Ezekiel on the 1810 census; he is probably in
Georgia.
