From another researcher, I have a Capt William CAUSEY that may have
been in
Caroline Co MD. See my notes from the other researcher below. If it is
the
same guy, I have lots of info that several researchers are trying to sort
out.
Nancy in OR

returned to his home in VA, where he had left a wife and eleven children

after losing his 1st wife (unknown), he moved with his children to Natchez
MS, and was allotted 640 acres of land by the government for his
Revolutionary War service. He married his 2nd wife, Susannah "Sulkey"
Jackson. (Note: After the war, he went to Suffolk VA for awhile, and came
to MS about 1805). Settled at Berwick Amite Co MS. Was a resident of
Carolina Co MD (?).
Will probated 21 Jul 1828.
Enlisted in Capt Richard Andrews' Co, 14th Bat Carolina Co MD. Saw service
until close of war. Promoted to Capt 11 Aug 1779. end notes

Subject: [CAUSEY-L] CAUSEY - 1790 Census
Good Morning All,
I'm a new subscriber to the list and hoping that someone will be able to
help me (please excuse if this has been discussed previously.)
Am interested in finding out about the Peter T., Beachamp and William
CAUSEY
that is on the 1790 Caroline Co, MD census....also, the Ann CAUSEY
that is
listed on the same. Does anyone know if this is the same Ann CAUSEY who
married Wm. ANDERSON in 1791, Caroline Co, MD? William died a few months
after their marriage.
Am wondering if Peter, Beachamp and William were brothers, and Ann possibly
their widowed mother, or a widow of another brother?
Any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Marsha McWilliams
