Do we understand or know the connection between Nathaniel Causey that
arrived at Jamestown in 1607 and William Causey b. 1744 and d. 1828 in Amite
Co., MS?
All indications I've seen show William came from Ireland when Nathaniel was
born about 1585. That's 153 years and about 5 generations. If these two are
related this would indicate the Causey's were spread out over England,
Ireland and maybe Scotland.
Has anyone done the research over there and/or where do we start?

There is no known connection between Nathaniel and William Causey other than
in their surname.
Other Causeys from the Jamestown settlement returned to settle in England,
not in Ireland.
There are several William Causeys in the Maryland court records, but they
are not William Causey born 1744, died 1828.
There is no known record of a contemporary William Causey born in Ireland.
There is no known record of any Causey in Ireland during that time.
There is no known record of a William Causey departing Ireland for the
colonies.
There is no known record of William Causey 1744-1828 of Mississippi having
married in Maryland.
There is no known record of his wife's name.
These results (or lack thereof) have been produced by record searches
conducted by professional, certified genealogical researchers.
Confirmed answers to any of these unknowns would make the researcher a hero
amongst Causey researchers.
