I have in my passion recent DNA reports that indicate a very close
relationship with the Causey surname. I am an exact 25 marker match to James
Francis Causey, one step off exact match (25 marker) with Miles Andrew
Causey and three step off exact match (37 markers) with Macon Causey.
James Francis Causey indicates a 94.15% (25 markers) chance of having a
common ancestor at 12 generations back.
James Francis Causey indicates a 72.27% (37 markers) chance of having a
common ancestor at 12 generations back.
Miles Andrew Causey indicates a 50.53% (37 markers) chance of having a
common ancestor at 12 generations back.
Macon Causey indicates a 74.03% (37 markers) chance of having a common
ancestor at 12 generations back.
With more known Cossey and Causey descendants testing the Y chromosome, we
probably can determine where exactly the connection is. I had my test done
with Family Tree DNA in Houston, Texas I sure would like to clear up this
issue and make a final determination.
Do the Causey's have an established DNA project?
