Assuming I'm tracking the same Christopher you are, I show that the 1850 census of
Heard County, GA has Christopher and his family listed and does reflect Georgia as his
birthplace. However, in the 1860 census for Chambers County, AL and then the 1870 census
for Randolph County, AL and the 1880 census for Randolph County, AL - where he is living
with his son Lewis (listed as the head of household) show his birthplace as North
Carolina. Also, his son Wright, who is my GGGF, showed his father - who I believe to be
Christopher - as being born in North Carolina in some of his (Wright's) Civil war
documentation. Would love to trade information with you as I believe we share the same
Christopher and possibly we can fill in missing details on both sides.
