Hi William,
The wills were sent from my researcher in MD (Vern Skinner) who got them
from the MD State Archives a week or so ago and are copies of the originals.
I'm having a hard time transcribing them (especially Frederick Causey's)
because it's so light, but am 'hanging in there.'
Pat Dawson is an excellent researcher and has a wonderful website. Please
let me know if you'd like her address but you've probably already had
contact with her?
Due to the CAUSEYs being so closely connected to the Nicolite religion, plus
acquaintances with my PAVEYs and ANDERSONs I have researched them somewhat.
I'll be happy to share what I do have, but I think (by far) the majority of
it has been through the nice people on this list. Is there anything in
particular that you're looking for? If so, please let me know. I also
research the Nicolites as they fascinate me.
As far as the DAWSONs go, they also were around the PAVEYs alot (no family
connection yet as far as I know.) Also (will have to check my notes), but
believe one of them at one time owned the same land that Samuel PAVEY sold
(1787 ... Sussex Co, DE), Levin's Folly (Enlarged.) A lot of my information
I did get from Pat, but Vern did do a little research on them too (in
regards to this land I believe.)
Marsha

Dear Marsha,
I am a descendant of Elizabeth Causey Dawson through her dau Nancy Dawson
who married Thomas Saxton in Guilford County, NC in 1790. THEIR dau,
Parthena Gray Dawson Saxton, married Joseph M. Welborn, the grandson of
Mattie McFarlane McGee Bell, a heroine of the American Revolution. Her
daughter, Elizabeth Ellen Welborn Hinshaw, was my great grandmother. She
married James Madison Hinshaw June 7, 1857, in Guilford County.
I would be interested in any additional information your can extract about
this family. What was the source of the will? Many thanks for your
interesting note.
William Hinshaw
