MARION LUTHER CAUSEY
MARION LUTHER CAUSEY
HALLETTSVILLE - Marion Luther Causey, 89, of Hallettsville, formerly of Houston, passed
away on Aug. 3, 2010. Marion was born on Dec. 31, 1920, in Terry, Miss. to Willie Ray and
Mary Alma Causey. He served in the United States Navy as a signalman from January 1942
till December 1945. Marion married the love of his life, Ruby Rogers, on July 29, 1949.
After 35 years of owning and operating Causey's Hair Fashion in Houston with his wife,
Tinsey, he retired to Hallettsville to continue one of his favorite pastimes, raising
cattle. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Hallettsville.
Marion is survived by: his son, Thomas Ray "Tommy" Causey and wife Vickie;
daughter, Mary Anne Drozd (Mark); twp sisters, Willie Bell Eady and Mable Chandler; three
grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; and numerous
nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be 5 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 5, 2010 at Kubena Funeral Home. A prayer service
will follow at 7 p.m. Thursday at Kubena Funeral Home, conducted by Rev. John Peters.
A private graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Aug. 6, 2010 at Forest Park
Lawndale Cemetery in Houston.
