Looking for links into the family of Christopher & Sarah Causey. According to census
data, I believe Christopher was born approx 1797 in NC. The family shows up in 1830 Jasper
County, GA census under Christopher Coursey, 1840 Chambers County, AL census under
Christopher Causey, 1850 Heard County, GA census as Christopher Corsey, 1860 Chambers
County, AL census as Christopher Causey, 1870 Randolph County, AL census as Christopher
Causey and 1880 Randolph County, AL census as Christopher Causey. Children, from oldest to
youngest, may include 1 male child, born 1825 - 1830, Winiford (Female), Elizabeth, Martha
Margaret, Susannah F., William, John, Washington, Permelia, Charlotte, Nathan, Lewis and
William. I believe the oldest male child (unnamed in the 1830 and 1840 census data) to be
Wright F. Causey, born 1825 in Jones County, GA and am trying to confirm this. By 1850 ,
Wright had married and moved out, but still lived in Heard County where Christopher lived.
In the 1850 cen!
sus for Heard County, GA, Christopher shows to live next door to Wade H. Ray, who I
believe to be Wright's brother in law through his marriage to Adaline Ray (Ellis).
Would love to trade info with anyone having insight into this family. I know there were
several Christopher's and Sarah's and Wright's in this area of Georgia and
Alabama and am trying to find the right links.
