Hi Clay,
Here's a few other tidbits I have found. My earliest Causey was John Causey who
married Rebecca Rober(t)son in 1810 in Putnam County GA. John & Rebecca were in
Jefferson County Ga in 1820 and were in AL by 1822, and in Coosa County AL by 1850.

Sunday afternoon, Mr. Horace Causey and Miss Verna Hester boarded the train,
accompanied by a number of friends and went to LaFayette where they repaired
to the Methodist parsonage and Rev. E.M. Glenn pronounced them man and wife.
Returning to Roanoke the bride and groom are at home at the residence of the
former's parents, Mr. and Mrs. N.C. Causey. The bride is the youngest
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H.E. Hester. The groom is a clerk in the post office
and the bride holds a position at T.C. Goodwin's.

INSTANT DEATH COMES TO MR. NATHAN C. CAUSEY WHILE AT WORK YESTERDAY MORNING
As shocking as sudden was the death of Mr. Nathan C. Causey yesterday morning
about 9 o'clock. Mr. Causey had not been in good health for many months and a
few weeks ago he was confined to his bed by an attack of grip. Since then he
has been quite feeble and suffered with rheumatism in the shoulders, but has
been at his place of business in the grocery department of T.C. Bingham & Co.
regularly.
It was here that death came to him without warning yesterday morning. He was
on his knees in the store working on a cotton planter when his head fell
forward and those nearby lifted him to the counter where he expired, without
speaking a word and before a physician could reach him from the drug store
nearby. A large crowd of sympathetic friends gathered and soon after conveyed
the lifeless form to the home that the deceased had left only a few hours
before.
Mr. Causey was about sixty years of age and was one of the best known and most
popular salesmen in all this section. He was a man of courage and high
character and the entire community laments his loss. The deceased leaves a
wife, five sons and one daughter. The remains will be interred at 2 o'clock
this afternoon at the burying ground of Bethel Baptist church of which he was
a member.
