I'm not offended at all by your question. I do post obits on my mailing
lists when I find them as I believe they do have genealogical
significance
- especially when the obit is of an older person and it lists their
parents' names, etc. I have had a couple of people on my FARRIS list
who
have found significant connections by contacting the family members
listed
in the obits. I have had so many positive comments about the obit
postings, I continue to do them.
If anyone out there is interested, I obtain these from the GEN-OBIT
Mailing
List. This list is an index of the obituaries appearing in most of
the
major newspapers across the country. Volunteers enter the obits in index
form and if you find an obit you are interested in, you contact the
volunteer contributor and they will e-mail you the full obit.

what is the address of this GEN-OBIT mailing list and do they only cover
America?
Is there a list covering England that anyone knows about also?
Thanks to the group for welcoming me to the list, I hope we can all help
one another.
