Maxie Fay Brown
Pickens
Maxie Fay Brown, 75, of 111 Labor St. in Pickens, died Nov. 21, 2003, at St. Francis
Hospital.
A native of Blackwater, Va.,, she was a daughter the late Lenard D. and Edna Livesay
Causby. She was a retired Linen Supplier and a member of Woodside Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Charles E. Brown Sr., of Pickens; daughter, Carolyn Bolding and
husband, Sam; sons, the Rev. John C. Brown and wife, Donna, of Jesup, Ga., Charles E.
Brown Jr. and wife, Martha, of Pickens; sisters, Mary L. Mathis, of Greenville and Lillie
Simpson, of Pickens; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one
great-great-grandchild.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 24, 2003, at Woodside Baptist Church
conducted by the Revs. Ronnie Williams and John C. Brown. Burial will follow at Graceland
Cemetery-East.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. tonight, Nov. 23, 2003, at
Westville Memorial Funeral Home, 6010 White Horse Road, Greenville.
Flowers are optional or memorials may be made to Woodside Baptist Church, Building Fund.
The family is at the home of a son, Charles and Martha Brown, 526 Wolf Creek School Road,
Pickens.
Westville Memorial Funeral Home is assisting the family of Mrs. Brown.
