Mrs. Ora Belle (Bill) Freeman
Mrs. Ora Belle (Bill) Freeman, 81, of Calhoun died Wednesday, March 27, 2002 at her
residence following a brief illness.
She was born on Oct. 30, 1020 in Murray County, daugh-ter of the late Bob and Bertha
Rogers Causby.
Mrs. Freeman retired from the textile industry in 1985 and was a member of the Casey
Springs United Methodist Church in Murray County.
She was preceded in death by her husband, B.W. Freeman in 1972, her parents Bob and Bertha
Causby, and by a sister Essie Calhoun.
Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Bobbie and Frankie Fain of Resaca, Jan
and Larry Walraven of Resaca, and Sandy and Barry Troglin of Calhoun; sons and
daughter-in-law Rick and Judi Freeman of Calhoun, and Mike Freeman of Resaca; a sister,
Ruby Mashburn of Resaca; and an aunt, Viola Ingle of Dalton. Two sisters-in-law,
brother-in-law, nine grand-children, four great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and
cousins also survive.
Funeral services were held Friday, March 29 at 3 p.m. from the Bradley Anderson Memo-rial
Chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Clay Stephens, Rev. Jimmie Timms,
and Rev. James McBrayer officiating. Singing was arranged by Iris Parker and Mable Harris.
Interment was in Fain Cemetery with Rev. Kenneth Phillips and Jerline Poarch in charge of
gravesite rites. Pallbearers were Alvin Hale, David Gibson, Bill Price, Billy Hayes,
Robert White, and James Allen. Flowers were accepted, but the preferred donations be made
to the Casey Springs United Methodist Church building Fund, 2494 Chatsworth Highway 225,
Calhoun, GA 30701. Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
