WILLIAMSBSURG - Margaret Pierce Causby, 58, passed away on Sept. 15, 2009, at the Hospice

Margaret was born on Nov. 17, 1950, in Hampton, Va., to the late Raymond and Catherine
Pierce. She was a lifelong resident of the Peninsula.

Virginia, National Commercial Lending School at the University of Oklahoma, and the LSU
Management Degree Program.
Margaret was a tireless and dedicated employee of Old Point National Bank for 40 years.

Since July 2003, she held her most recent position of Executive Vice President/Risk
Manager.
Margaret also supported continuing education and served in many capacities with the
American Bankers Association to include serving as Chairperson for the Compliance
Committee as well as an Instructor and Advisor for the National Compliance School. She
earned a certification in Regulatory Compliance Management and was an American Bankers
Association Distinguished Service Award recipient.
Although she remained very active in membership and board positions within banking, she
was equally dedicated to her community involvements. She was President of Hampton Healthy
Families Partnership, a board member for the Boys' and Girls' Club, President of
the Oakland Cemetery Association and in 2003 and 2004, she was chairman of the Hampton
Relay For Life at Darling Stadium.

nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Johnny Hyde and staff
