Mrs. Ruby Causby Mashburn

Mrs. Ruby Causby Mashburn, 89, of Resaca died Friday, July 13, 2007 at her residence. She
was born in Murray County on Nov. 23, 1917, daughter of the late Bob and Bertha Rogers
Causby. She was a retired textile worker at Herbcraft Mills and a member of Casey Springs
United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn "Bud"
Mashburn, and two sisters, Essie Calhoun and Orabelle Freeman. Survivors include several
nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and cousins. Funeral was Sunday, July 15
at 3 p.m. from Casey Springs United Methodist Church, with the Revs. Isaac Johns, Kenny
Bailey, and Jimmie Timms officiating. Burial followed the service in Maple Grove Cemetery,
with the Rev. James McBrayer conducting the graveside service. Pallbearers included
Mitchell Mashburn, Buddy Hawkins, Doyle Johns, Bill Price, Barry Troglin, and Clayton
Timms. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Casey Springs United
Methodist Church or Mapl!
e Grove Cemetery Fund. Condolences may be sent and the guestbook signed at
www.maxbrannonandsons.com. Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home of Calhoun was in charge of
arrangements.
