Mrs. Lou Causby Wyatt, 84, of 153 Pine St., died Thursday morning, Feb. 9, 2006 at
Hamilton Medical Center in Dalton, following several months of declining health. She was
born on Oct. 13, 1921 in Lenoir City, Tenn., daughter of the late Samuel and Mary Crawford
Brewster. During her lifetime, she retired from Georgia Tufters in 1983 and was a member
of New Town Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Manuel Causby;
Vernon Kirby, and the Rev. Marshall Wyatt; a daughter, Tinnie Causby, a stepson, J.D.
Causby; and two stepdaughters, Mildred Jackson and Faynell Adams. Survivors include a son
and daughter-in-law, Gilbert and Margie Causby of Warner, Okla.; daughters and
sons-in-law, Brenda and Clarence Long of Resaca, Karen and Eddie Kirby and Hilda and
Johnny Davis, all of Calhoun, and Darlene and Hoyle Herndon of Jasper; stepdaughters,
Shirley Greeson of Calhoun, Delma Ray of Resaca, and Coleen Wilson and her husband James
of Resaca; stepsons, the Rev. Bobby !
Causby and his wife Shelba of Resaca and James Wyatt of Las Vegas, Nev.; a sister,
Katherine McIntosh of Knoxville, Tenn.; a sister-in-law, Vennie Brewster of Trion; a
special friend and caregiver, Joyce Franklin; and several grandchildren,
great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Funeral was Saturday, Feb. 11 at 2 p.m. at the
chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home, with the Revs. J.B. Kirby and Barry Payne
officiating. Grandsons served as pallbearers. Interment followed in Fain Cemetery. Max
Brannon & Sons Funeral Home of Calhoun was in charge of arrangements.
