Mr. James Edward Wilson Jr.

Mr. James Edward Wilson, Jr., 56, of Resaca died Saturday morning, Jan. 8, 2005, at
Redmond Regional Medical Center in Rome, following a heart attack. He was born on Oct. 3,
1948 in Gordon County, son of James Edward Wilson Sr. and Coleen Causby Wilson. He was a
veteran of the United States Marine Corps, having served during the Vietnam War, and was
an avid outdoorsman enjoying fishing, hunting, and golfing. He was employed by Textile
Rubber Chemical Co. as a tech service manager and was of the Baptist faith. He was a
devoted father, grandfather, son, and brother to his family. Survivors include two
daughters and sons-in-law, Cindi Amelia and Tim Fortmann of Norcross, and Laura Pamela and
Tim Laning of Chesterland, Ohio; grandchildren, Bailey Fortmann, Jaden Fortmann, Micaela
Laning, and Trey Laning; parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Wilson Sr. of Resaca; a sister, Myra
Gwen Wilson Eden and her husband, Eddie, of Resaca; nephews, Jeff Holmes, and his wife,
Heather, and Kevin Holme!
s; and a great- niece, Ashley Holmes. Funeral was Monday, Jan. 10, at 3 p.m. from the
Bradley Anderson Memorial Chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home, with the Revs.
Larry Hogan and Bobby Causby officiating. Pallbearers included Donald Johnson, Jeff
Holmes, Kevin Holmes, Tim Fortmann, David Ball, and Eddie Eden. Honorary pallbearers were
employees of Textile Rubber Chemical Co. of Dalton and Shane Causby, Stanley Ray, Tim
Laning, Jesse Baker, and Cory Baker. Interment followed in Fain Cemetery. Stanley Ray was
in charge of singing. Flowers will be accepted; however, you may make contributions to the
American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice in memory of Mr. Wilson. Max Brannon
& Sons Funeral Home of Calhoun was in charge of arrangements.
