Meriam Reding Causby
82, retired nurse
Funeral for Meriam Reding Causby, 82, of Wagoner, Okla., formerly of Courtland,
will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Courtland Baptist Church with the Rev. C.G.
Reding and the Rev. Scott Letson officiating.
Burial will be in Old Bethel Cemetery with Roselawn Funeral Home directing.
The body will be in the church one hour before the funeral at the church.
Mrs. Causby died Sunday, Jan. 9, 2000, at Hillcrest Specialty Hospital
in Tulsa, Okla. She was born Aug. 16, 1917, in Lawrence County, to Marshall
Reding and Lucy Letson Reding. She was a former member of Courtland Baptist
Church and a member of Twin Oaks Baptist Church in Wagoner. She was a retired
nurse and spent most of her career in Oklahoma but also served in Decatur,
Moulton and Courtland.
She is survived by one son, Ralph Causby of Bristow, Okla.; one daughter,
Mary Francis Raines of Broken Arrow, Okla.; two brothers, Gid Reding of
Courtland and Hoover Reding of Town Creek; two sisters, Sarah R. McGowan
of Courtland and Geneva R. Reneau of Celina, Tenn.; three grandchildren;
and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be John Cross, Don Dickey, Boyd Reding, Roger Mayfield,
Harce Hill and Jimmy Williams.
Memorials may be made to Courtland Baptist Church or a favorite church.
