My dear father passed away on Saturday, July 6. He was greatly loved and will be missed
by all.

Bryan Causby
SHELBY — Mr. Bryan B. Causby, 79, of 1721 Farmville Road, died Saturday, July 6, 2002, at
Cleveland Regional Medical Center.
A native of Cleveland County, he was a retired owner and operator of Causby’s Stop and
Shop on Washburn Switch Road in Shelby. He was a member of Double Springs Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph C. and Cora Paxton Causby.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Irene Lovelace Causby of Shelby; two daughters and
sons-in-law, Faye and Johnny Gantt of Boiling Springs and Wanda and Glenn Rabb of
Winston-Salem; a granddaughter, Jaime Rabb of Los Angeles; four grandsons, Todd Gantt and
his wife, Ginger, of Catawba, Michael Gantt and his wife, Ruby, of Fort Worth, Texas,
Scott Gantt of Shelby and Wesley Rabb of Winston-Salem; a great-grandson, Brian Gantt of
Shelby; a brother and sister-in-law, Leonard and Anna Catherine Causby of Shelby; and two
sisters, Myrtle and Margaret Causby of Shelby; two stepbrothers, Albert and Clyde Bowen of
Shelby; and a stepsister, Ruth Preston of Shelby.
The funeral will be Monday at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Cleveland Funeral Services with the
Rev. Jim Sparks and Michael Gantt officiating.
A private burial will be held in the Double Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home and at other
times at the home.
