Mr. Clayton Causby, 84, of Dalton passed away Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, at Hamilton Medical
Center.
He was the son of the late L.M. and Ollie Causby and was preceded in death by his son,
Richard "Dick" Causby; brother-in-law, Harlan Godfrey; father-in-law and
mother-in-law, H.L. and Jamie Godfrey.
Clayton is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Peggy Godfrey Causby; son and
daughter-in-law, Gregg and Holly Causby, all of Dalton; daughter, Susan Bliss Causby of
Chattanooga; daughter-in-law, Carol Eskew Causby of Rocky Face; grandchildren, Andy and
Stacy Eskew of Charlotte, N.C., Ellis Eskew of Montgomery, Ala., Christian Causby of
Jackson, Wy., Starr Causby, Tom Causby and Carly Causby, all of Dalton; great-grandchild,
Will Eskew of Charlotte; sister, Ruth Payne of Dalton; brother and sisters-in-law, Hugh
and Ilien Causby of Chattanooga and Carolyn Godfrey of Dalton; sister-in-law and
brother-in-law, Susan and Rick Belford of Savannah; brother-in-law and sister-in-law,
David and Kaye Godfrey of Orlando, Fla.; nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held.
Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Christ Community Church on Tuesday from 3 to 6 p.m.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Dick Causby Scholarship Fund at Christian
Heritage, 1600 MLK Jr. Blvd., Dalton, GA 30720 or to the charity of one's choice.
