LAWNDALE - Ruth Carolyn White Brackett, 73, of 4922 Delight Road, passed away Monday, June
23, 2014, at home. She was born in Cleveland County on Feb. 16, 1941, to the late Cly
Jackson White and Mattie Lee Mode White Causby. She was retired from
Universal and Shadowline industries as a seamstress and was a member of Casar United
Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Roy White and David
Causby.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Cecil Loyd Brackett; sons Steve Brackett, David
Brackett and wife Karen; brother Donald Causby; sisters Doris Bridges, Ruby Rector, Ann
Ruyle, Faye Martin, and Inez Smith; grandchildren, Jerry Wayne Brackett, Jamie Brackett
Hardin and husband Tim, Jessica Lynn Brackett Hudson and husband Michael, Jeff Brackett
and fiance' Amber Finch, Daniel Brackett, Melanie Brackett, Carly Brackett;
great-grandchildren, Andrew Tran, Luke Hudson, Carly Dollinger, Joely Brackett, Austin
Tessiner; and special caregivers, Nancy Tessiner, Brandy Hudson, and Amanda Toney. Also,
the family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to Hospice Cleveland County.
Visitation: The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Funeral service: 2 p.m. Thursday at Casar United Methodist Church
Officiated by: The Revs. Robert Goins and Norris Willis
Burial: Will follow in the church cemetery.
Funeral home: Stamey Funeral Home of Fallston is serving the family.
Memorials: May be made to Hospice Cleveland County 951 Wendover Heights Drive
