Hello, as a new list member I want to post my Caulfield ancestor (great-great
grandfather):
Joseph Hugh Caulfield, born about 1829 somewhere in Ireland. Roman Catholic.
Stone mason by trade. Married in Washington County, Maine in 1849 to
Elizabeth McFaul. Had 8 children, lived in Maine and New Brunswick. Served
in 2nd Maine Cavalry, Union Army. Last heard from in 1866 following
discharge at Fort Barrancas, Florida. Later declared missing and presumed
dead. I would like to learn Joseph's parentage, home village, and place,
date and manner of death.
